Our Design Team search has been going on for a month now, and we got entries from coast to coast. The Design Team has voted. The votes were so close that after much deciding, debating and considering we have decided to ask 3 people to join the team... they are....

Tanya and I took off for 24 hours of cropping and boy, did we manage to crop our hearts out! We headed to Esterel with 125 of other woman, through our lss (Scrapbookerie) for a night filled with over 26 pages of scrapbooking! They are all about Meagan cause I decided only to bring her photo case this time around.

For the last little while, Meagan has been able to wink with one eye. At 3 years old, we found this pretty amazing. Well , when you have a 4 year that can't do it, it becomes a full on sister against sister battle of can't and cans. Mix in there an 11 year that barely can do it, and you have one hell of a suppertime meal! Just had to share the pic of Meagan I caught.

First Tooth!

Well, there you have it...my little Melissa at 4 years old (4 years, 7 months and 16 days, to be exact) has lost her first tooth! She was brave and courageous, didn't cry for one second. She wiggled and played with it for about 10 minutes, used the old dental floss method and then, one twist by dad and it was out! This morning we easily thought she had another 3 weeks to go, but she was determined to get it out and have the tooth fairy visit her.

So, the next thing on her agenda, was for me to call the tooth fairy and let her know. She then wanted to know how she was getting into the house. Where her tooth was going and what exactly is the tooth fairy going to do with her tooth...the questions didn't stop for about 10 minutes...I had to think quick, but I finally convinced her to put it under her pillow and see what happens.

Snow, reptiles and princesses

Tanya can you see your house ? I told Danny this morning about your snow mountain and wondered if you even had a house to get into! LOL

I had a super busy day yesterday..went to the Reptile Expo in Pointe-Claire. Bought myself another gecko and 2 more snakes. It was a great morning and a lot fun talking to different people about our passion for reptiles. It's a whole different world , just like scrapbooking and it's fun to have something else to obsesses about besides scrapbooking. Popped into Scrapbook Centrale to see what was left at 50%...picked up some great stuff at super prices.

In the afternoon, I took two very whiny kids to see the Princesses on Ice. It was a very beautiful show and the girls enjoyed it. The food and gifts costs me almost as much as the tickets. Just ridiculous to pay $17.50 for two (very small) apple juices and a popcorn!! Lucky I didn't get a hot dog cause I bill would have been $40! LOL no seriously, $3.50 for a dog? Who are they kidding? Then the guy tells me it's the price to pay to have a hockey team in first place! I didn't realize the Canadians' new uniform consisted of a princess dresses and tiaras?

Anyway...off to work, I've got orders for Scrapmode piling up...have you seen my new papers? I designed 12 of the models and I am so happy with how they turned...

Yes! I am so proud of my new coolection for Scrapmode. I actually, for the first time, designed 24 papers myself! It was stressful, and a lot of work but I am so happy with the results. I got to see the proofs today and they are amazing! The Soft and Sweet line turned out so much better than I thought. I can't wait to get them and start scrappin!

Mexico...(finally)

I finally have a little bit of time to blog our trip to MExico last week. Here's Melissa thinking she can put cream all by herself, so while I was putting cream on Meagan, I turned around to see this face!

On our third day, we went into Playa Del Carmen and did a little shopping, got a henna tattoo and the girls got their hair done.

Melissa was casted as Sandy in the MIni Club's production of Grease. Here she is dancing to Summer Lovin!

If only this was a true testament to how they really behaved this trip...I wish!

Last but not least one more of almost 200 pictures, this one of my little devil being just that, at our last breakfast in Mexico, while she waited on dad for her food.

On day 4, Danny and I went for a swim with the dolphins: It was a great experience and I can't wait for the kids to be older so we can do it again.

Thanks to the wonderful vroumvroum, I got tagged once more. I need to mention 6 truths, rituals or tics about myself.

Here goes:

1- I have an obsession lately with reptiles and amphibians. Something about this group of animals is so endearing to me. I love them. They are so low maintenance, funny to watch and like scrapbooking, I have made a few "friends" along the way through forums. I just recently built my own cage to house a new breed of geckos that I plan on getting at the next reptile show in March. I can't wait!

2- I don't like peanut butter, but when I was pregnant with Melissa, Peanut Butter and Nutela sandwiches were on the menu almost everyday. No wonder I gained 45lbs!

3- I need a piece of chocolate every day. I cannot have a day go by without my fix.

4- Tennis is my new pastime and I watch over 20 hours of TV a week! This writer's strike is absolutely killing me!

5- I cannot start my day without a shower. A showerless morning means dealing with a very grumpy me. And because I get cold very fast, I have to take a shower (or bath) at night before bed, or else my feet are so cold it would take my over an hour to get to bed.

6- Valerie is now on my hit list for tagging me!

Hayley and shauna were over today for a visit/playdate. I had my studio set up to take some pictures Melissa for her agency. Since her hair mess back in June, I have to stay on top of the growth. Here are just some of the many great shots I got of her.

Then I took over 200 of Shauna playing for the camera. She gots a lot of great shots out of that session, I got to practice my photography skills on someone taller than 4 feet! I'll post a few of those later. It was a lot of fun!

After the shoot, the background paper was no longer useful for pictures, so we decided to let the girls have some painting fun. And boy did they ever have fun!

I turned my back for two seconds and my devil decided to face paint herself!

For those of you that know my daughters well enough to know that they both have two different personalities. Melissa tries hard to please and always wants to do right, Meagan on the other hand, is a little devil. She looks right at you while you tell her not to do something , puts on that smirk of hers and does it right in front of you. She gets into trouble where you didn't think trouble was to be had! Well, at Ella's party, I decided to give her the face to go along with her nickname. She wore it proudly!

Well, last night, I accidently stmbled upon two eggs layed by my crested geckos. Not sure if they will be good or not, since I have no idea when she layed them. And since they got tumbled over in the process of me finding them, the lizards may have drowned.

But we will cross our fingers and hope to see two little heads pop out in about 75 days! But in about 30 days, we will know whether or not they are still good. They are incubating right now, I did everything I know possible to try and save them.

Melissa came home from School today with the usual assortment of artwork in her lunch box, but this time, she really caught me by surprise.

Here is my early Christmas gift to myself. We had an empty 30 gallon tank sitting in the basement, so we decided to fill it today! They are Crested Geckos and they are so soft and friendly. We believe we have a girl and boy... They still haven't been named but if you ask the girls, once again they are named Mommy and Daddy, just like our other lizards...

And Val...my next reptile will be a crocodile just like yours :)

First off...can you say "I hate the white stuff" arghhh... If you haven't already heard, we are supposed to get over 15 storms this year of this magnitude...arghhhh...

So, I just realized I have ignored my blog for a little while...but so have all of you (you know who you are...LOL) .

My Christmas cards are done. Here is what it looked like:

Melissa is actually speaking French now, slowly, but the words are coming out. She has been at French school for only three months and every day she shocks me with another word or two. I ask a question and out comes the answer in French! When she needs to count, her first instinct is in French. I'm so proud of her.

My little Meagan has actually turned into a little devil...I think Wen has a picture in her camera...she is deviant and sneaky and according to my mom, just like me! Arghhhh....

Christmas gifts are still not wrapped and I almost bought another lizard yesterday...I think I may need therapy! LOL

well, I got tagged by Johanne and need to list off 7 truths about scrapbooking and me! Here we go!

1. I've been published several times and still don't think I'm good. Each page I make, I keep thinking how much better everyone else's page is. I guess after almost 5 years of scrappin, I should be more confident in my work...

2. Like Jo, I am a book and magazine-a-holic. I buy every single issue of every single scrap book out there. They inspire and I simply love to read. I usually don't have much time to read a novel, so scrap book gets me back into reading.

3. I am a hoarder...big time. I think I have more product than some stores do! For those that know me, I am also a rub-on junkie. I have to have them all even if I know I may not use it. Rub-ons are my weakness.

4. Friday night crops keep me sane. We share dirt, secrets, catch up on the weeks events and scrap our hearts out. Cropping with the girls takes my mind away from everything. We laugh and joke around and scraplift eachother without pressure, judgement or back talk. We even eat nachos/cheese and fondue! LOL The best 8 girls around!

5. I have the intention to scrap every night, but it doesn't always work out like that. But I still manage to get at least 3-4 pages done a week. I will scrap for the rest of my life.

6. I love to digital scrap but still can't give up my paper and scissors. But I have resorted to making all invitations digitally now, because mass producing cards have had the best of me. Sometimes to make a card digitally takes more hours than producing 15 cards manually but it doesn't matter, I just can't do it anymore.

7. My girls are 99% of what I scrap. I will scrap every single picture I have of them. Not sure if they will ever get there hands on my albums, but when I decide to let them leave the house with them, they will probably leave with over 50 albums each! Let's just say that at 4 and half years old, Melissa already has 12 albums!

I usually don't scan my layouts just beause I am so lazy and would rather be scrapbooking instead, cause everytime I pause to scan, I end up searching the net, blogs, forums, and before you know it, 45 minutes has gone by and I'm not in the mood to scrap anymore. But I just thought I would share this one cause I really liked how it turned out (except for my croakedness! argghh...I really have to learn how to glue better!) Been stuck at home for the last three days with the girls!!! Monday, I was alone with Meagan, Tuesday I had them both and today, I am alone with Melissa. I hope this is the start and finish of the cold season! Calgon, take me away!!

Back from Florida

Well, I'm back, and for the first time after a trip, I am actually relaxed and ready to go. The girls were really good all considering, my only complaint would be the plane ride. Hard to entertain two toddlers in such a small space for over 3 hours.

Here are some pics of the trip:

The girls at the beach. They had a blast there. The ocean water was great and they managed to drink only about a cupful!

Here we are the Butterfly Museum, where they feed some birds. It took me over 30 minutes to get them out of this room.

And of course, our friendly neighbor! Found this lively thing outside our condo where he made himself his home. If the picture doesn't tell you about his size, he was about 4-5 inches long, not including his legs!

News from the South...

Hello my loyal blog ladies...here I am on dial up connection from the condo and I can't stay away from you all. I've read all your blogs and seen the awesome halloween pictures, I just haven't left any comments due to the fact that it would take about 20 minutes to do so! How did we live before High Speed?

So the weather is absolutely beautiful, not a cloud in the sky since we arrived. The girls have been having a blast and behaving relatively well. By 7:00, they can hardly keep their eyes open and are asking if they can go to bed!

I have managed to shop at 2 SB stores and bought just a little {wink wink}. But I have also managed to get over 9 pages done so far! Not my usual half pages I do on Friday nights, but actual completed pages. Woohoo!

This really has been a stress free trip and I love it. I may actuall make it a yearly ritual with my girls. I am relax and enjoying it so much.

Oh ya, the girls are completely swimming alone, both of them. No floaties at all. I can't believe it. Show you the all the pics when I get back.

Boy did it feel good to get back to scrappin yesterday at Tanya's! It felt like forever, but it really was only 3 weeks. With the Salon, my new paper, stamps, catalogue and pile of other To Do stuff...scrappin got put to the side. But yesterday and even some today, I managed to pull out a few pages.

If you wondering what awesome paper I used...it is non other that Scrapmode! LOL

On Sunday, Tanya, myself and the girls decided to take advantage of the weather and head to the park near my house for some really great fall pictures. The kids were cooperative and very cheesy! Here are just some of the 100 + pictures taken that hour at the park :)

I am off with Tanya a few other girls for an overnight Spa getaway tomorrow morning. My body is in such need of this trip, I can't wait! Meagan Turns 3!!

Yesterday my baby turned three! I can't believe how fast time flies. We threw a party for her at the house on Sunday. We had a reptile man come and bring a whole load of stuff. Here's just one of the animals she held, others included, alligator, scorpion, lizards, bigger snakes (about 10 feet) and even a tarantula! She was in heaven. She didn't move from seat for the whole hour.

Strep Throat

I guess my body is telling me to slow down, I ended up with Strep Throat today. I'm on pills for the next 10 days. My first time ever getting this and it sucks! I didn't sleep a wink last night and it kills to swallow. Every muscle in my body aches. I just hope that it doesn't progress into something worse.

Scrap Pink

This weekend at www.scrap4life.com was the Scrap Pink event (an online crop for breast cancer) and I managed to get so much done. I'm really glad I decided to participate at the last minute. Danny actually gave me the day to scrap! I got 5 pages done. Check em out!

as we all know, being behind the camera all the time means I never have any pictures of me, anywhere, sometimes this is a good thing. But, more and more, I've wanted to make an About Me book, and I just needed to take a few pics of myself. So, i set up the studio for Meagan's birthday picture (next post) and ask my 4 year old to take a few shots of me. So below you will find a few pictures taken my the trigger happy Melissa. I think she did an awesome job and I'm really content with the results!

So my husband thinks I am going through a "I want another baby" phase...what do you think? LOL

Let's all welcome our two newest additions to the family. These are bearded dragon lizards and they are just awesome. They will get pretty big (about 24 inches long) and are extremely docile. Not sure if they will mate, cause they are still young to tell the sex, but we think we may have a mommy and daddy (like the girls have named them).

I'll keep you posted in about 6-9 months if we have any new additions!

Back from Philly

I officially feel like a business woman! I had my first out of town meeting in Philly yesterday. Woke up at 5am to catch a 6:55am flight. Landed, got picked up at the airport and had meetings all day. Then back to the airport for 6pm, and home at 10:30pm. It was a very productive and rewarding day and the goodies that will be coming from this meeting will hit scrapbook stores by February! So exciting!

I sold my business! This is probably the best news I can share! The retail industry was killing me. I can now work from home on my little baby Scrapmode (manufacturing of Scrapbooking goods) be there for my kids at all times and have something that is finally all mine! It keeps me busy, but still allows me freedom to get back to what I really love to do, that is scrapbook.

First Day of School

After 7+ months of bugging me (since the day we went for a school visit in February), Melissa has not missed a single day about asking me when she will start school. We also drive by her new school almost every day, so each and every time, I would hear, "there's my new school" and if she missed the opportunity, sure enough, Meagan would say "Look Melissa, your new school". Finally, the first day was here. She woke up early and without even a word from me, she was dressed in her uniform and ready to go. Unfortunately it was only 7am! She then proceeded to do about 15 laps around the house chanting " I'm going to school today, woohoo" over and over again. Got this on video in case a few months down the road she starts singing a different tune!

Finally, 8:30 arrives and we leave the house. Drop off Meagan and head to her school. Her smile was ear to ear and by the time we found parking 2 blocks away :( she was beyond excited and took off as if she was running the 100m dash.

We got into her classroom and she never looked back. Picked her up and she had an awesome day. Teacher said she was great and it looked like the first day of school was a success!

Diva

Here's our new friend I was telling you about yesterday. Her name is Diva and she's a Boa Constrictor. She's 21 inches long and probably weights less than a pound. She will grow to be maybe 8-10 feet and weight more than me! The girls love her and since we just got rid of our 80 gallon aquarium with fish (thank g-d that mess is over and done with!) , it will make the perfect attraction to our entrance.

The apple season has opened and it was a first for my girls to go apple picking. We headed to La Magie des Pommes in St-Eustache (Jani...was I near you? LOL) with Jen and her daughters, Caitlin and Madison. I took loads of pictures...

I think that was Meagan's 4th apple!

a day with my girls

Spent the day with my girls today. Packed up the bag, packed up the car, got the girls all creamed up and off we went to Laronde! Well, wouldn't you know it...it was closed! The girls got all excited when they saw the rides from the brigde, then we get to the parking and tada, no go. Explain that to 2 toddlers! So off we went to the Insectarium! They loved it. They were so intrigued and wanted to see and know what everything was. An hour well spent.

We got back and had time to blow some bubbles on the grass, thanks to a little loot bag we got on Sunday :) The kids were bugging all week to blow bubbles (especially Meagan), so here she is, in her glory, blowing bubbles!

Sneaky strikes again!

So , you know that Melissa of mine that way back when tried to trick me with the clean diaper stint, well this time she pulled another.

Last night at 3am, she comes into our room, naked from the waist down and says she peed in bed. She goes to see Dad, which she normally doesn't, and Dad, half asleep, tells her to get into our bed. I usually get up in these circumstances and either make her a clean bed or put the Dora mattress on the floor. So after 5 minutes of her fake coughing and tossing and turning, I get up and go to her room. Sure enough, the bed was dry and the pyjama was dry. I make her get back into her bed and sleepily make it back to our room.

In the morning, I ask her why she did that and she simply said that she woke up and missed us. Sweet as it may seem, grouchy dad and grouchy mom this morning were not in the mood for anyone!
